As a self-proclaimed voracious listener, I have found immense joy in immersing myself in the world of audiobooks. While reading may not be my forte, I can easily get whisked away listening to a mind expanding book for hours on end.
When I first started this blog, I promised myself that I would keep my virtual bookshelf updated, but I must admit, I haven’t been the best at fulfilling that promise. However, it’s time for a change. Today, I want to share some of the books I’ve recently listened to, as well as a few that I’ve been reading (when an audio version wasn’t available). These are the books that have left a lasting impression on me, the ones I find myself recommending to anyone who will listen.
Recent Listens: A Journey of Self-Discovery
One of the books that I recently revisited through the power of audio is “What to Say When You Talk to Yourself” by Shad Helmsetter. While I had read the paperback version many years ago, listening to it again reminded me of the importance of positive self-talk and the impact it can have on our lives.
Another audiobook that captivated my attention is “Life Visioning” by Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith. “When your thoughts and actions begin to align with the imperatives of your soul,” explains Beckwith, “you enroll the full support of the universe. Unimagined possibilities begin to open up as you synchronize with the divine.” Dr. Beckwith’s wisdom and guidance have inspired me to take on the challenge of finding and fulling my calling.
One particular recommendation that I received from a dear friend (Thank you Kellie!!) is “Whatever Arises, Love That!” by Matt Kahn. This book is a profound exploration of unconditional love and acceptance. It has challenged me to shift my perspective and approach life’s challenges with compassion and understanding. I can already tell that this will be a book I revisit time and time again. — “You deserve MORE love, not less!!”
Books That Have Touched My Soul
While audiobooks are my primary source of literary consumption, there are a few books that I’ve read in their traditional form because an audio version wasn’t available. One such book I’ve started reading is “Trust: Mastering the Four Essential Trusts: Trust in Self, Trust in God, Trust in Others, Trust in Life” by Iyanla Vanzant. In this transformative work, Vanzant guides readers on a journey of self-discovery and helps them cultivate trust in every aspect of their lives.
Lastly, there is one book that I find myself recommending over and over again: “You Can Heal Your Life” by Louise Hay. This amazing book has touched the lives of countless individuals, including my own. Hay’s insights into the mind-body connection and the power of positive affirmations have the potential to catalyze profound personal transformation.
Books have the incredible ability to change our lives if we allow them to. Whether we choose to listen to their words or read them on a page, the wisdom and stories contained within have the power to inspire, uplift, and transform. So, let’s embrace the magic of literature and embark on a journey of self-discovery, one page or audio track at a time.
